In this article, we will explore the common reasons behind the 'Trade is Disabled' notification, provide insights, and offer step-by-step solutions to ensure you can resume your trading activities seamlessly. The 'Trade is disabled' error message appears on the MT4 due to one of the following reasons:

        1. You haven't made the minimum deposit to activate your trading account. Please read here for more information about the minimum deposit on each account type.
        2. You have a swap-free enabled account but trying to trade exotic currency pairs or crypto CFDs. Please note that exotic pairs and crypto CFDs are not available for swap-free accounts.
        3. You can review the comprehensive list of all accessible instruments along with their respective groups here.
        4. You have a credit on your account and your account balance is negative. This may be due to your account reaching the credit stop-out level.
        5. You can review your trading account balance and trading credit either through MetaTrader or by accessing your FXTM Profile. Navigate to My Accounts> Accounts Overview, and click on your trading account number for details.
        6. Trading has been disabled for a particular instrument. We may have temporarily or permanently disabled a trading instrument. To check the trade availability of the trading instruments, you can right-click on the instrument in the MT4 market watch area and select 'Specification'.

Tip: You could encounter a "trade disabled" error if your trading account has transitioned to the "close-only" mode. Forex brokers may activate this setting for unsupported account types. It's important to mention that, in such instances, you will receive an email notification before any alterations take place. Ensure to regularly check your email for any updates from FXTM.
